Cagayan II Electric Cooperative, Inc. was established in 1978 as a private, non-stock, non-profit membership and service-oriented electric cooperative. It was registered as the 102nd electric cooperative in the Philippines, serving the municipalities of Northern Cagayan and Lower Apayao.
From humble beginnings with just a few hundred Member-Consumer-Owners, CAGELCO II has grown to become one of the leading electric distribution utilities in Region II, committed to providing reliable and affordable electricity to Cagayanos & Iapayaos .
Today, we serve over 165,427 member-consumers across 21 municipalities, with a dedicated team of 312 personnel committed to excellence in service delivery.

100% energization of the Barangays in the coverage area was fulfilled
Inclusion of four municipalities in the Province of Apayao namely Flora, Sta. Marcela, Luna and Pudtol making the total number of energized municipalities to 21
Its first four municipalities were energized: Buguey, Camalaniugan, Sta. Teresita and Gonzaga
CAGELCO II took over the service of the old electric system under the Aparri Electric Plant
CAGELCO II was incorporated making it the 102nd Electric Cooperative to be registered with the National Electrification Administration under the provisions of R.A. No. 6038 as a non-stock, non-profit Electric Cooperative
