Qualified senior consumers receive special discounts on their electricity bills in accordance with the Senior Citizens Act

Electricity Bill Discount for Seniors

Under Republic Act No. 9994 (Expanded Senior Citizens Act of 2010), qualified senior citizens are entitled to a special discount on their electricity bills. Cagayan II Electric Cooperative, Inc. is committed to implementing this benefit for all eligible member-consumers.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be a Filipino citizen
  • At least 60 years old
  • Must be a registered member-consumer of Cagayan II Electric Cooperative, Inc.
  • Monthly electricity consumption must not exceed 100 kWh
  • Must present valid Senior Citizen ID or OSCA-issued ID
  • Must be the registered account holder or immediate family member

Discount Details

Discount Rate 5% on total electricity bill
Coverage 100 kWh maximum monthly consumption
Validity Lifetime as long as requirements are met
Application One-time with annual renewal of ID

Copy of Latest Bill

Current electricity bill under applicant's name

Important Notes

  • The discount is only applicable for consumption up to 100 kWh per month.
  • Only one discount per household is allowed.
  • The discount cannot be combined with other promotional rates.
  • Discount is automatically reflected on your bill once approved.
  • Senior Citizen ID must be valid and renewed annually.
